J&F, controlled by Joesley and Wesley Batista, completed the acquisition of four thermal power plants in Boa Vista, Roraima, from Oliveira Energia. The purchased assets include UTE Distrito (21.69 MW), UTE Floresta (85.99 MW), UTE Monte Cristo Sucuba (155.34 MW), and UTE Monte Cristo (42.25 MW), totaling 305.27 MW of installed capacity. The transaction was approved by Brazil's Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade) and marks J&F's expansion into Brazil's thermal power generation sector. Oliveira Energia, the seller, exits these assets as part of a strategic realignment in Brazil's energy market. The deal follows J&F's broader diversification strategy beyond its core meatpacking operations.
