J&V Energy agreed to acquire a 187 MW operational solar portfolio in Taiwan from a fund managed by Global Infrastructure Partners, which is part of BlackRock. The portfolio consists of 42 operational solar plants located across Central and Southern Taiwan, with a remaining operating life of over 15 years. The assets are expected to generate approximately 270 million kWh of clean electricity annually, sufficient to power around 80,000 Taiwanese households. The transaction is anticipated to close in Q3 2026, pending regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. Jerome Tan, Group Chief Investment Officer of J&V Energy, stated that the acquisition aligns with the company's strategy to build a high-quality, income-producing renewables portfolio backed by long-dated, fully contracted cash flows.
