China's JD Cloud and chip maker Moore Threads are collaborating on a 100,000-strong GPU cluster, which was announced at JD's 2026 Global Technology Explorers Conference. This project will utilize Chinese hardware, marking it as the first cluster of its kind to be hosted by a major domestic AI cloud provider. The cluster will incorporate Moore Threads' "full-featured GPUs" and is designed for large-scale model training, inference, and embodied intelligence workloads. The two companies have previously partnered on a smaller 10,000 GPU cluster.
