JERA Co. and Samsung C&T have entered into a partnership to enhance hydrogen and ammonia supply chains across Asia. The collaboration targets operational flexibility and reliability for low‑carbon fuels, with commercial operations planned for fiscal year 2029. The joint effort will focus on developing hydrogen production, storage, and green ammonia conversion facilities in Japan and South Korea, supporting regional energy security. By linking Japan’s largest power generator with South Korea’s leading construction firm, the deal will accelerate decarbonisation of industry and transport sectors in the region. No financial terms were disclosed, and the partnership was announced in July 2026.
