Kanadevia Inova acquires majority stake in BioValue

Swiss energy transition and circular economy solutions provider Kanadevia Inova announced on September 14, 2026, that it has acquired a majority stake in Dutch biogas and biomethane developer BioValue. The transaction, which will see the acquired business operate under the name Kanadevia Inova BioValue, combines BioValue's local biomethane expertise with Kanadevia Inova's technology and international experience. Ids Schaap, the founder of BioValue, will retain a minority stake and continue to lead the new company as CEO. The deal also includes the acquisition of the remaining 15% stake in the Cothen biomethane plant, a 90,000-tonne-per-year co-digestion facility producing 100 GWh of renewable energy, and brings 23 BioValue specialists to Kanadevia Inova.
