KGAL ESPF 4 sells Polish onshore wind portfolio to Octopus Energy Generation

Type: Sale · Technology: Onshore Wind · Country: Poland · Capacity: 75 MW · Announced: 2026-05-07

KGAL ESPF 4 completed the sale of a 75 MW Polish onshore wind portfolio to Octopus Energy Generation, including three operational wind farms—Krasin, Ciekocinko, and Rywald—along with associated development pipelines. The assets, located in northern Poland's high-wind regions, are fully operational and feed electricity into the grid under long-term power-purchase agreements (PPAs). KGAL had acquired the portfolio between 2020 and 2021 at ready-to-build status, managing it through construction to operational completion. The deal marks another exit from ESPF 4, delivering returns well above the fund's hurdle rate. Key revenue drivers include inflation-linked PPAs for Krasin and Rywald, while Ciekocinko operates under a state-guaranteed auction tariff, ensuring stable cash flows.
