KGAL Investment Management signs long-term eSAF offtake agreement with Uniper for Endor project
Type: Supply Agreement · Technology: Hydrogen · Country: Denmark · Announced: 2026-09-25
KGAL Investment Management's Endor project in Vordingborg, Denmark signed a long-term offtake agreement with Uniper for 40,000 tonnes of sustainable synthetic aviation fuel (eSAF) annually for more than 10 years. The Endor project, developed by Arcadia eFuels and partially held by the KGAL ESPF 6 Energy Transition Fund since 2023, is planned to produce up to 80,000 tonnes of eSAF per year using renewable electricity, locally produced green hydrogen and captured carbon dioxide. Deliveries under the Uniper agreement are expected to begin in the early 2030s after the facility enters commercial operations, and the contracted volume equates to fuel for roughly 1,000 Boeing 787-9 flights between Düsseldorf and Abu Dhabi per year. The fuel is designed to meet the EU ReFuelEU Aviation Regulation and renewable fuels of non-biogenic origin criteria and is claimed to reduce lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions by up to 98% versus conventional kerosene. KGAL said the Uniper contract moves the project closer to financial close and represents one of the largest eSAF supply agreements announced in Europe as of the announcement date, 2026-09-25.
