Korea Electric Power Corp. (Kepco) established a new subsidiary, Kepco Technology Holdings, to commercialize public sector patents and establish partnerships with seven domestic inverter manufacturers. The new company received an initial capital injection of KRW 20 billion (US$ 14.9 million) and has the potential to reach KRW 100 billion in five years. The initiative aims to support the South Korean government's strategy to rebuild the domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem and enhance the competitiveness of local inverter producers.
