LG Sinar Mas, a joint venture between South Korean conglomerate LG and Indonesian conglomerate Sinar Mas, is developing the SMX01 data center in Jakarta's Central Business District. The project, first announced in September 2024, is backed by South Korean real estate and infrastructure firm Korea Investment Real Asset Management. The facility is set to be ready for service in Q4 2026 and is optimized for AI and high-density workloads, featuring liquid cooling and reliable power.
