Lightcurve signs partnership with Harmonic to deliver multi-gigabit MDU broadband over coax

Lightcurve signed a partnership with Harmonic on 24 September 2026 to deploy Harmonic's cOS virtualized broadband platform and Oyster nodes with Pebble Remote PHY devices to deliver up to 8 Gbps downstream and 1 Gbps upstream to Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs) over existing coax in central and western Washington state. The deployment uses a software upgrade to the cOS Core combined with compact low-power distributed access architecture (DAA) nodes to avoid rewiring buildings and enable fiber-like speeds while using existing coax infrastructure. Lightcurve will also use Harmonic's Central AI-driven network intelligence and operations for continuous analytics and visibility to proactively identify and troubleshoot service issues across its subscriber base in Washington. The partnership preserves Lightcurve's optionality to support both DOCSIS and fiber via the cOS platform as customer demand or investment priorities change. No financial value, capacity in MW, or third-party lenders were disclosed in the announcement.
