Type: Partnership · Technology: Offshore Wind · Country: Taiwan, South Korea, Japan · Announced: 2026-07-10

Singapore-listed marine logistics company Marco Polo Marine's offshore wind division, PKR Offshore, signed a non-exclusive framework agreement with Siemens Gamesa to deploy and charter two commissioning service operation vessels (CSOVs) for offshore wind projects across Asia. The agreement covers support for Siemens Gamesa's projects in Taiwan, with planned expansion into South Korea and Japan, running from 2029 for an initial two-year period with options for extensions of one to three years. The vessels will be equipped with Siemens Energy's BlueDrive PlusC hybrid propulsion system to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. PKR Offshore's CSOV Wind Archer has been operational in Taiwan since April 2025, while a second vessel, CSOV Plus, is under construction at Marco Polo Marine's shipyard in Batam, Indonesia, with delivery scheduled for Q2 2028. A third unit is currently in the planning phase, with the CSOV Plus designed for operations in both offshore wind and oil and gas sectors.
