Masdar and Elektroprivreda Crne Gore signed a partnership agreement to develop renewable energy assets totaling up to 2 GW in Montenegro. The deal includes two solar projects each rated at 150 MW and a hydro storage component of 400 MW. The projects will be located across Montenegro and are slated for phased commissioning beginning in 2027. The collaboration aims to strengthen Montenegro's energy security and increase its renewable electricity exports to regional markets.
