Masdar and ScottishPower Renewables have formed a 50:50 joint venture to develop the East Anglia THREE offshore wind project, delivering 1.4 GW of capacity. The project is situated off the Suffolk coast in the United Kingdom and will host 95 turbines equipped with 115‑metre blades. Foundations for all turbines were installed by 17 August 2026, with turbine installation underway and full commissioning targeted for the end of 2026. This joint venture marks Masdar’s first offshore wind partnership in the UK and builds on a broader €15 billion strategic partnership between Masdar and Iberdrola. The development involves almost £2 billion of UK supply‑chain investment, supporting 2,300 construction jobs and around 100 permanent positions. Key supply‑chain partners include Seaway7, Wood Thilsted, Siemens Gamesa, NR Marine Services and Partrac.
