Massachusetts announced it will purchase most of the 2.9 GW from three offshore wind projects — about 1,000 MW of SouthCoast Wind, 800 MW of New England Wind 1 (Avangrid), and up to 800 MW of Vineyard Wind 2 — as part of a multi-state procurement to supply clean power and support port and O&M activity in New Bedford.
