METLEN Energy & Metals to develop three UK solar projects totaling 112.5 MW for Elgin

Greece-headquartered METLEN Energy & Metals signed a development agreement with Elgin to construct three solar parks in the UK with a combined capacity of 112.5 MW. The portfolio includes the 61.9 MW Thorpe project in Staffordshire, the 26.2 MW Aston Flamville solar park in Leicestershire, and the 24.5 MW Maes Mawr solar park in Wales. Under the terms of the deal, METLEN will oversee the design, execution, and initial operations and maintenance of the projects. Once operational, the solar parks are expected to generate electricity sufficient for 48,000 households annually while offsetting approximately 16,000 tons of CO₂ emissions each year. The projects represent METLEN's expansion into the UK solar market through a structured development partnership with Elgin.
