MiCo Co. Ltd.'s subsidiary, Hyundai Heavy Industries Power Systems Co. Ltd. (HPS), signed a share purchase agreement to acquire a 100% stake in Netherlands-based NEM Energy B.V. from Mutares SE & Co. KGaA, a German-listed investment firm. The transaction includes NEM Energy’s German subsidiary NEM Balcke-Dürr GmbH, expanding HPS’s portfolio in heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) technology. NEM Energy specializes in HRSG solutions for gas-fired power plants, enhancing HPS’s capabilities in combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) and industrial heat recovery systems. Mutares, which acquired NEM Energy in 2021, will divest the business as part of its strategic realignment. The deal underscores HPS’s focus on strengthening its position in the global power generation infrastructure sector.
