Microsoft has acquired an additional 100 acres of land for $131 million, adjacent to its existing 150-acre data center campus under development in Goodyear, Maricopa County, Arizona. This purchase significantly increases Microsoft's footprint in the area to over 550 acres, including previous acquisitions. The land, located near Citrus and Indian School roads, was purchased from Chicago-based First Industrial Realty Trust. This expansion is expected to support the growth of Microsoft's data center campus, which currently includes six data center buildings either existing, under construction, or proposed.
