Mission Critical Group consolidates seven acquired companies under single brand and opens new switchgear manufacturing facility to support AI and data center power infrastructure
Type: Partnership · Technology: Data Center · Country: United States · Announced: 2026-06-12
Mission Critical Group (MCG) consolidated seven legacy companies—Mission Critical Facilities International, JTS, Point Eight Power, SST, DVM Power + Control, Leman Engineering and Consulting, and TxLa Systems—under a single MCG brand, creating a unified platform for low- and medium-voltage electrical equipment, modular power systems, engineering, and lifecycle services. The restructuring, announced alongside the opening of a new 266,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Harleysville, Pennsylvania, streamlines customer interactions by providing a single point of contact for critical power infrastructure needs. Limited operations at the new facility began in May 2026 for training, with full production scheduled to ramp up in September 2026, adding 300 jobs to the regional workforce. MCG’s expansion directly addresses the bottleneck in switchgear production, a critical component for data center and AI infrastructure projects facing extended lead times. Jeff Drees, MCG’s chief executive, emphasized the move as central to the company’s growth strategy to meet rising power demand from AI and data center build-outs.
