Autronica, headquartered in Trondheim, Norway, designs, manufactures, and supplies fire detection, gas detection, and alarm systems primarily serving critical infrastructure, energy, and maritime sectors. The transaction, expected to close in Q3 2026 pending regulatory approvals, will be funded through a combination of cash on hand and borrowings under MSA’s existing credit facility. Autronica employs around 500 people globally and provides safety solutions for facilities requiring high-reliability detection systems. The deal enhances MSA’s position in global safety infrastructure markets by integrating Autronica’s specialized offerings into its industrial safety portfolio.
