Néosolar-Corfu Solaire to develop 12.2 MWp solar carports for Spirou and Wave Island amusement parks
Construction has begun on 12.2 MWp of photovoltaic carports at the Spirou and Wave Island amusement parks in Monteux, France. The project, selected by the Communauté d’agglomération du Sorgues du Comtat through an expression of interest call, involves Néosolar-Corfu Solaire developing and building the solar structures. The installation features a 7,600 m² solar pergola and simple and double carports equipped with 26,926 photovoltaic panels. The energy produced will be fed into the grid and sold under a CRE tender won by Corfu Solaire. The project will also include 40 EV charging stations, providing shade and shelter for visitors, and is expected to produce 17,727 MWh annually, saving 558 tonnes of CO2 per year.
