Naturgy, through its international subsidiary Global Power Generation (GPG), announced an investment of over $490 million (EUR 300 million) to develop a 290 MW (330 MWp) solar farm and a 180 MW / 360 MWh battery energy storage system in Queensland's Fraser Coast region. The Fraser Coast project, located on a 555-hectare site near Brooweena, will feature approximately 600,000 solar panels and is expected to be fully operational in 2028, generating around 380 GWh of renewable energy annually. This project is Naturgy's largest in Australia and its second hybrid solar and battery storage facility in the country, following the Cunderdin complex in Western Australia. The investment is supported by a 10-year power purchase agreement, providing long-term revenue visibility for the project.
