Navitas Planet, the EPC arm of Navitas Solar, has secured a $20 million contract to develop a 54 MW utility-scale solar power project in Serenje Province, Zambia. This marks Navitas' first utility-scale EPC project in Africa and is expected to be commissioned within seven to eight months. The project will utilize Navitas Solar's high-efficiency bifacial TOPCon modules and other components sourced globally. The development aligns with Zambia's Integrated Resource Plan and its 1,000 MW Solar Initiative, aiming to diversify the country's energy mix and reduce reliance on hydropower.
