Neoen Australia awarded two 15-year capacity services contracts for Goyder Battery Stages 1 and 2 in South Australia

Neoen Australia was awarded two 15-year, 75 MW / 8-hour capacity services contracts in South Australia’s inaugural Firm Energy Reliability Mechanism (FERM) tender. These contracts will be delivered by Stages 1 and 2 of the Goyder Battery project, which has a total capacity of 454 MW / 1,814 MWh. The Goyder Battery project is located in South Australia's mid-north region, near Burra, approximately 165 kilometres north of Adelaide. This agreement significantly bolsters South Australia's energy system resilience and contributes to the state's rapid transition to renewables. Site works for the project are expected to commence in August 2026, with the asset anticipated to start operating in 2028.
