Nerius Invest launches GreenUnits subsidiary for decarbonization projects, involved in Hyguane green hydrogen project

Nerius Invest launched GreenUnits, a subsidiary dedicated to delegated project management for decarbonization projects, on June 1, 2026. GreenUnits is involved in the Hyguane (Hydrogène Guyanais à Neutralité Environnementale) project, which aims to replace a portion of gray hydrogen used in space launcher propellants with green hydrogen. The project, with a total investment of €45 million, will produce up to 80 tonnes of renewable hydrogen per year, powered by a 5 MWp photovoltaic plant at the European spaceport. The consortium for the Hyguane project includes ESA, CNES, Air Liquide, MT Aerospace, BeBlue, the University of Guyana, and the University of Liège, with commissioning expected in summer 2027.
