Nestle SA and Platinum Equity announced a 50:50 joint venture named Peranel to acquire and operate Nestle's worldwide waters and beverage businesses, valued at 2.8 billion Swiss francs ($3.4 billion) at closing. The transaction will transfer more than 30 water brands, including S. Pellegrino, Perrier and Nestle Pure Life, into the new entity. Peranel will be headquartered in Paris, France, and will be led by Muriel Lienau, the current CEO of Nestle's waters division. The joint venture aims to accelerate growth through enhanced agility, premiumization, and sustainability initiatives across its portfolio. The deal was disclosed on 23 July 2026, with Nestle receiving the cash proceeds upon completion.
