Nokia and AWS expand collaboration to deliver autonomous networks for telecommunication providers
Type: Partnership · Technology: Telecom · Country: null · Announced: 2026-06-24
Nokia and Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced an expanded collaboration to provide autonomous networks for telecommunication providers, enabling them to run their full operational stack in the cloud. This partnership focuses on running Nokia’s Autonomous Networks Fabric on AWS, granting operators access to advanced AI and cloud services necessary for Level 4 autonomy. The collaboration builds on existing Nokia digital operations applications, including orchestration, assurance, and unified inventory, already available on the AWS platform. This initiative aims to help telcos evolve from static infrastructures to programmable, AI-native platforms, anticipating changing traffic mixes and operating at machine speed. The solutions running on AWS will benefit from elastic scalability, global availability, and broad model choices through cloud AI and ML services, including Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker, enabling faster innovation and reduced infrastructure costs.
