Noon Energy and Sabanci Renewables signed a joint venture agreement to co‑develop up to 1 GW of ultra‑long‑duration energy storage projects for AI data centers. The projects will pair Noon Energy’s reversible‑flow battery systems, capable of more than 100 hours of uninterrupted power, with Sabanci Renewables’ utility‑scale solar and wind assets. Although no site has been disclosed, Sabanci Renewables is focused on the ERCOT market in Texas and aims to begin commercial deployment as early as 2027. The collaboration targets up to 100 GWh of storage capacity, enabling a 24/7 renewable power supply for large AI infrastructure. The JV will be structured through power purchase agreements or capacity offtake agreements, and Sabanci Climate Ventures facilitated the deal as an investor in Noon Energy.
