Novar acquires agrivoltaic project portfolio 'Vallée de la Woëvre' in France

Dutch independent power producer Novar finalized the acquisition of the 'Vallée de la Woëvre' agrivoltaic project portfolio in the Meuse department of France's Grand Est region in December 2025. The 92 MWc portfolio combines renewable energy production with local cattle farming, aiming to transition low-yield cereal agriculture toward sustainable beef production using the region's rich pastures. Novar will serve as the lead developer while Impulsion Groupe continues project development under a services contract. The initiative also explores a local collective self-consumption scheme to supply renewable electricity to residents and businesses within a 10-kilometer radius of the sites.
