Novva Group acquires 3.17 GW renewable energy portfolio from ABO Energy in Argentina

Novva Group has signed a binding framework agreement to acquire a renewable energy portfolio from ABO Energy in Argentina with a combined capacity of 3.17 GW. The agreement was signed in Paris by Novva founder and CEO Steven Liu and ABO Energy CEO Karsten Schlageter. The transaction represents a material expansion of Novva's Latin American portfolio, following a June 2026 agreement to acquire three solar projects in Colombia totaling 37.8 MWac. ABO Energy, which has operated in Argentina since 2006, develops wind, photovoltaic, storage, and hydrogen projects, having previously developed approximately 2.123 GW of projects in Argentina. Novva positions the acquisition to support data center and AI infrastructure energy needs, integrating project development, financing, and execution for data center facilities. The deal underscores growing demand for large-scale solar and wind assets to meet computing capacity energy requirements.
