Oceaneering wins four-year ROV services contract with Petrobras offshore Brazil

Type: Supply Agreement · Technology: Oil Gas · Country: Brazil · Announced: 2026-07-07

Oceaneering International, Inc. secured a four-year contract through its Brazilian subsidiary Marine Production Systems do Brasil LTDA (MPS) to deliver remotely operated vehicle (ROV) services for Petrobras offshore Brazil. The agreement, awarded following a competitive tender process, requires Oceaneering to supply two work class ROVs and specialized tooling packages while providing monitoring and positioning support. Operations are scheduled to commence in 2027, with deployment from AKOFS Offshore's subsea engineering support vessel Aker Wayfarer, which Petrobras has separately contracted for intervention, installation, and abandonment support scopes. The project will be executed by Oceaneering's local team in Brazil, leveraging existing facilities including an ROV and survey center in Macaé and an umbilical manufacturing plant in Niterói. This contract reinforces Oceaneering's position in Brazil's offshore energy sector, where it already operates multiple facilities supporting subsea intervention and engineered solutions.
