OCI Energy and Arava Power signed a membership interest purchase agreement to jointly develop the 670 MWdc La Salle Solar project in La Salle County, Texas. Under the agreement, Arava Power will acquire a 50% ownership stake in the utility-scale solar project, with both companies sharing responsibilities for financing, construction, ownership, and operation. The project is expected to generate enough electricity to power approximately 100,000 homes upon reaching full capacity, with commercial operations anticipated to begin in 2028. Sabah Bayatli, President of OCI Energy, highlighted the project's significance as a milestone for the company's portfolio in Texas, emphasizing its scale and alignment with grid needs. Ilan Zidkony, CEO of Arava Power, noted that securing the project strengthens the company's U.S. market momentum and accelerates its mission to deliver large-scale sustainable energy solutions.
