OCI Energy secures construction financing from ING for Alamo City BESS

ING is providing construction financing for OCI Energy's Alamo City battery energy storage system, a 120 MW / 480 MWh standalone project in southeastern Bexar County, Texas. The facility is expected to enter commercial operation in 2027, providing power to approximately 30,000 homes for up to four hours. This financing supports the development of critical infrastructure aimed at strengthening grid reliability and managing peak demand events in the San Antonio region. OCI Energy developed and financed the project, which will be operated by CPS Energy under a long-term storage capacity agreement.
