Octopus Energy Generation invested €584 million to acquire 321MW of onshore wind farms across 17 sites in France, Germany, and Poland through its fund management team on behalf of the Sky fund (ORI SCSp). The portfolio includes 143.5MW across 10 sites in France, spanning regions such as Hauts-de-France, Grand Est, and Nouvelle-Aquitaine, with a mix of operational and construction-stage assets expected to power 65,000 homes annually once fully built. In Germany, Octopus acquired four wind farms totaling 102.5MW across Lower Saxony, Brandenburg, Hesse, and Baden-Württemberg, including two operational sites and two under construction, together supplying 71,000 homes. The company also purchased three operational wind farms in northern Poland with a combined capacity of 75MW, generating enough electricity to power 120,000 homes yearly and including access to a development pipeline. Zoisa North-Bond, chief executive at Octopus Energy Generation, emphasized Europe's material wind resources and the need to accelerate wind power deployment to meet clean energy demands and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
