OEG secures ICCP corrosion protection contract for Gennaker offshore wind farm

OEG secured a contract to deliver an Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) system for the 976.5 MW Gennaker offshore wind farm, partnering with Skyborn Renewables. The project, located about 15 km north of the Fischland‑Darß‑Zingst peninsula in the German Baltic Sea, will use 63 Siemens Gamesa 15.5 MW turbines on monopile foundations. OEG will handle engineering, procurement, manufacturing oversight, offshore logistics, installation, testing and commissioning, working alongside cathodic protection specialist CORROSION. The corrosion protection system is critical to extend the lifespan of the turbine foundations and supports the farm’s planned 2028 commissioning. The contract aligns with OEG’s strategy to expand its subsea services portfolio in Europe’s offshore wind market.
