Omega Subsea secures five-year ROV services agreement with NKT for two cable-laying vessels

Omega Subsea secured a five-year agreement to provide remotely operated vehicle (ROV) services for NKT's newbuild cable-laying vessel NKT Eleonora and expanded an existing five-year contract covering NKT Victoria, with the announcement published on 25 September 2026. The contract covers mobilization activities at shipyards in Ulsteinvik and Brattvåg and mobilization of ROV systems on NKT Victoria scheduled to begin before the end of 2026 and on NKT Eleonora expected in January 2027. NKT Eleonora is being built by Vard to a Salt Ship Design and will have capacity to carry more than 23,000 tonnes of cable for high-voltage power cable projects across Europe; NKT Victoria can carry up to 11,000 tonnes following upgrades. Omega Subsea will deploy four of eight new Kystdesign ROV systems delivered in 2026 to NKT projects and will supply two Ulmatec Launch and Recovery Systems for NKT Victoria to support two new ROVs. The contracts are part of Omega Subsea's wider ROV investment programme that will expand its fleet to more than 30 systems by mid-2028, supporting long-term operations across multiple European cable projects.
