OMS Group and Ulstein partner to build third cable-laying vessel CS Resilience with CRIST shipyard

OMS Group, a maritime infrastructure company, partnered with Ulstein and CRIST to construct CS Resilience, the third vessel in its GREAT-Class fleet of next-generation cable-laying ships. The vessel, scheduled for completion in 2028, will feature Ulstein’s X-BOW design and POWER Variable Speed Generator technology to enhance seakeeping performance, fuel efficiency, and emissions reduction. CS Resilience is part of OMS Group’s largest fleet investment to date, alongside three other vessels (CS Genesis, CS Triumph, CS Alliance) currently under construction or in operation. The partnership leverages Ulstein’s advanced vessel design expertise and CRIST’s shipbuilding capabilities at its Gdynia, Poland yard. Datuk Lim Soon Foo, OMS Group’s Founder and Chairman, emphasized the collaboration’s focus on innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence for the global submarine telecommunications industry.
