Optimus Energy Solutions acquires South Carolina EV charging network from Duke Energy pilot program

Optimus Energy Solutions acquired a 52 DC fast charger EV charging network spanning 26 locations across South Carolina, originally developed by Duke Energy as part of a pilot program. The network, positioned along major travel corridors, was migrated to the ChargePoint network following the conclusion of Duke Energy’s pilot program. Headquartered in Central Florida, Optimus Energy Solutions has operated for a decade in EV charging and renewable energy projects across Florida, Georgia, Virginia, Alabama, and the Carolinas. The acquisition strengthens Optimus Energy Solutions’ portfolio of critical energy infrastructure in the southeastern U.S., particularly in rural areas where reliable EV charging access remains essential. Ben Pauluhn, President of Optimus Energy Solutions, emphasized the company’s commitment to expanding and maintaining U.S. energy infrastructure through long-term investments in EV charging access.
