ORLEN Neptun and the Szczecin and Swinoujscie Seaports Authority signed a letter of intent to expand Poland's first offshore wind installation terminal in Swinoujscie, operational since June 2025. The terminal, a key logistics hub for Baltic Sea offshore wind projects, currently serves third-party operators including Ocean Winds and Smulders, with high occupancy rates in its first year. The expansion aims to meet anticipated demand from future wind farm installations such as Baltic East and Baltic West, with the facility already handling components for turbines up to 15 MW and transformer stations weighing nearly 3,000 tons. The project follows a €150 million EU-funded initiative completed in 2025 to build port access infrastructure, including quaysides with 50 t/m² load-bearing capacity. The terminal's strategic location provides access to rail, road, ferry, and air routes, enabling service to projects in Germany, Sweden, and Denmark.
