Ormat Technologies' subsidiary Puna Geothermal Ventures received Hawaiʻi Public Utilities Commission approval for amendments to its power purchase agreement with Hawaiian Electric to increase contracted geothermal capacity to a maximum of 46 MW (minimum 30 MW) and extend the consolidated contract through 2052, including replacement of older units with three new generating units.
