Oyster Renewable has announced the part commissioning of a 315.6 MW hybrid wind-solar renewable energy project for Jindal Stainless, located in Agar-Malwa, Madhya Pradesh. The total investment for this project exceeds INR 2,000 crore, with Jindal Stainless committing INR 132 crore. The project spans Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, generating 216 MW in Madhya Pradesh and an additional 99 MW in Gujarat, with commissioning occurring in phases. This hybrid configuration integrates bifacial solar modules with tracker systems and Suzlon 3.15 MW wind turbines to create a more balanced renewable generation profile, enhancing power availability for industrial consumption. Once fully operational, the project is anticipated to help Jindal Stainless abate approximately 6.5 lakh metric tonnes of carbon emissions annually.
