Type: Financing · Technology: Solar · Country: Poland · Capacity: 133 MW · Value: $44M · Announced: 2026-09-28
PAD RES Group secured PLN 192.5 million (€44 million) in long-term financing from UniCredit to complete construction and support operations of a 133 MW solar portfolio in southwestern Poland. The portfolio includes the 90 MW Krapkowice and 18 MW Strzelce Opolskie projects in Opolskie Voivodeship, alongside the 25 MW Gromadka project in Lower Silesian Voivodeship. All three solar farms cover approximately 142 hectares and are expected to generate a combined 140 GWh annually. The transaction follows two other financing agreements involving PAD RES and UniCredit in 2026, including a PLN 83.7 million (€19.5 million) deal for 51 MW of solar farms in September and a PLN 637 million (€151.3 million) portfolio of nine solar farms in January. UniCredit stated that financing energy investments, including supporting the development of new energy generation sources, is one of the key pillars of its strategy. PAD RES is majority-owned by a joint venture between Kajima Partnerships and Griffin Capital Partners, which acquired its stake in September 2021. The company has a development pipeline exceeding 3 GW in Poland.
