PLDT files to establish and float data center REIT in Philippines, aiming to raise $396 million

Philippines telco PLDT has filed to form and float a data center Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) through its wholly-owned subsidiary Vitro Inc., aiming to raise ₱24.2 billion ($396 million) in an initial public offering (IPO). The proposed Vitro REIT will be seeded with eight data center facilities totaling 24MW of capacity across the Philippines. This IPO marks the first digital infrastructure REIT in the Philippines, allowing investors to participate in the growth of the country's digital infrastructure sector. PLDT plans to sell approximately 49 percent of Vitro’s shares, unlocking value from its digital infrastructure portfolio and supporting the expansion of Vitro REIT’s data center platform.
