Plenary Group, through its Plenary Conventions consortium, secured a $449 million public-private partnership (PPP) to deliver the Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre, a 1,000-seat theatre and event hub in Geelong, Australia. The project, valued at $676 million as part of the Geelong City Deal, includes an adjacent 200-room Crowne Plaza Geelong hotel, which opened in January 2026. Construction created over 1,400 jobs, trained 250 apprentices, and engaged 440+ local subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants. The convention centre will host 50+ conferences annually, driving tourism and economic growth in the region. Plenary Group also invested an additional $130 million in the Crowne Plaza, doubling its commitment to $260 million for future commercial spaces in the precinct.
