Plug Power will supply its GenEco PEM electrolysers to Orica for the Hunter Valley Hydrogen Hub. The electrolyser package will enable the 50‑MW facility on Kooragang Island to produce renewable hydrogen via electrolysis. This supply agreement builds on Plug Power’s existing Australian footprint, which already includes an operating electrolyser in Townsville and a project in Chinchilla, Queensland. The partnership supports Orica’s transition to low‑carbon ammonia production and aligns with the Hydrogen Headstart programme’s objectives. No financial terms were disclosed, but the equipment delivery is slated for the early construction phase slated for 2026‑2027.
