Intellectual property licensing firm PowerBridge Networks acquired over 50 patents from Enphase Energy covering technologies linked to distributed energy systems, inverter technology, power management, and grid-connected energy infrastructure. The deal includes a portfolio of US patents and international filings focused on intelligent energy management, inverter-based power conversion, distributed power architectures, and system optimization technologies. Financial terms were not disclosed. PowerBridge Networks stated that the acquired assets fall outside Enphase’s current strategic priorities and will be managed by GridScale Solutions, a Texas-based affiliated company within the PowerBridge platform. The acquisition aligns with PowerBridge’s broader intellectual property strategy aimed at acquiring and licensing technology portfolios across networking, communications, energy, and adjacent sectors.
