Powersafe and Huawei Digital Power expand partnership to deploy 35 MWh of battery energy storage systems in Brazil

Brazilian battery and energy systems manufacturer Powersafe announced an expanded partnership with Huawei Digital Power (HDT) to introduce a new generation of energy storage systems in Brazil, targeting approximately 35 MWh of new projects in 2026. The agreement covers the import and commercialization of utility-scale, commercial, and industrial storage systems, including digital monitoring, energy management, and advanced battery architectures such as Smart String and Grid Forming technologies. The first shipments are scheduled to arrive in Brazil between late June and early July 2026, with systems featuring 241 kWh units equipped with AI-supported operational monitoring. Powersafe’s manager of Renewables, André Ribeiro, stated that the solutions were developed to address energy stability, grid digitalization, and modernization needs across solar plants, data centers, electro-intensive industries, and critical infrastructure. The partnership also includes capacity-building initiatives for Brazilian integrators, EPC contractors, developers, investors, utilities, and energy consumers, with technical events and training programs held in May 2026 and plans for further collaboration with universities and certification programs.
