Pratap Technocrats secured an EPC contract from NTPC Limited to deploy a 570 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) across two super thermal power plants in Madhya Pradesh. The project includes 320 MWh at NTPC’s Gadarwara plant and 250 MWh at the Khargone super thermal power project, with scope covering design, engineering, supply, installation, and commissioning. The BESS deployment aims to enhance grid reliability and support long-term energy infrastructure performance for NTPC’s thermal assets. Pratap Technocrats, a project management services provider with expertise in telecom infrastructure, will execute the turnkey solution under the agreement. The initiative aligns with India’s push for grid stability amid rising renewable energy integration and thermal power plant modernization.
