Prime Data Centers announced plans to develop a 550MW data center campus, named ESB01, in Esbjerg, Denmark, in partnership with Brunswick Real Estate. The project will span 640,000 sqm on land owned by the Esbjerg Municipality, with an initial investment of €2 billion ($2.3bn) for the first phase offering 160MW. The total investment could reach €6 billion ($6.91bn) for the full 550MW capacity. Construction of the first data center is anticipated to start in 2027, with initial capacity going live in late 2029.
