Promigas and Surtigas deliver solar system to CostAcero in Barranquilla

Promigas and its subsidiary Surtigas installed a rooftop solar system on 1,100 m² of CostAcero’s facility in Barranquilla. The installation is designed to replace 89 % of CostAcero’s current electricity consumption, complementing the company’s existing self‑generation that already covers about 60 % of its demand. CostAcero expects the new system to push its clean‑energy coverage to 90 % and achieve electricity savings exceeding 16 %. The project underscores Promigas’ strategy to expand distributed solar solutions in Colombia’s Caribbean region. The delivery was announced on 23 June 2026 as part of a broader rollout of solar projects by Promigas and Surtigas.
