Pure Energie partners with Kraken to optimize Dutch renewable energy portfolio

Pure Energie selected Kraken to manage and optimize its consumer, wind, solar, and battery portfolio across the Netherlands. The partnership will integrate 20 sites in H1 2026, with plans for further expansion, to deliver an energy management system including retail balancing, day-ahead curtailment, intraday trading, imbalance optimization, and ancillary market access. Kraken will connect Pure Energie’s grid-scale assets with consumer demand in real time, enhancing performance, reliability, and flexibility. The collaboration leverages Kraken’s integration with Dutch TSO TenneT to secure market access. Pure Energie’s managing director, Bert Frowijn, highlighted the initiative’s role in accelerating renewable energy integration into the Dutch energy system.
